     <title>Philip Langridge - by Guy Cherqui 07/03/2010 @ 18:54</title>
     <link>http://www.abbadiani.it/guppy/news.php?lng=en&amp;pg=987</link>
<description>Last Friday (5.3.2010) Philip Langridge died after a short illness. We had turned 70 last year, but was still singing and only slowly winding down his career. Those of us who heard (and saw!) him, in particular as Shuisky (in &amp;quot;Boris Godunov&amp;quot;) will never forget him. He sang the role in nearly all of Claudio Abbado's productions of that opera - from La Scala in 1978 to Salzburg in 1994 (resp. 1998).</description>
