Deutsche Grammophon will publish the next instalment of their series of Mozart concertos with the Orchestra Mozart and Claudio Abbado on 2nd April 2013. This new CD will include the Clarinet Concerto K 622 (Alessandro Carbonare), the Flute Concerto K 314 (Jacques Zoon) and the Bassoon Concerto K 191 (Guilhaume Santana).
Also Decca will release on 6th May a box comprising seven CDs which will be called "Claudio Abbado - The Decca Years".

The BBC Radio 3 programme CD Review surveyed the available recordings of Mahler's 6th Symphony to-day in their Building a Library feature. The overall recommendation was the Abbado recording with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra (released as a DVD).

The German radio station Hessischer Rundfunk will broadcast in its second programme (hr2) next Friday (22.2.2013) at 8.05 p.m. a concert given by the Orchestra Mozart conducted by Claudio Abbado (with Isabelle Faust as soloist). This concert was part of last year's Lucerne Easter Festival.

The Austrian Ministery of Science and Research has announced that their book prize in the category "Junior Research Books" this year goes to Claudio Abbado for "Meine Welt der Musik". This is the German translation of "La Casa dei Suoni".

Some small changes in the programme of Lucerne in summer.
On 16th and 17th August 2013 the concerts will open with Brahms' Tragic Overture.
On 23rd, 24th and 26th August 2013 Claudio Abbado will conduct Schubert's Unfinished symphony in the first half of the programme.
