New concert date - by Guy Cherqui 03/05/2012 @ 20:11 In December 2012 the Orchestra Mozart under the direction of Claudio Abbado will go on a small tour of Germany and Italy with works of J. S. Bach. Slowly the itinerary is emerging. Latest addition: 4th December 2012 concert in Baden-Baden. Booking starts on 4th May 2012.

Two marvellous concerts to be heared on the France Musique Website for a month and on the Salle Pleyel-Cité de la Musique Website for 6 months. Fantastic interpretation of the Symphony no 4 by Brahms.

He is nominated for his revelatory interpretation of Bruckner with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall last year.The other conductors nominated are Gianandrea Noseda and Donald Runnicles.

Claudio Abbado and the LUCERNE FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA are the WINNERS of the prestigious BBC Music Magazine Award (Category DVD) for their DVD of the Symphony No. 9 by Gustav Mahler (Accentus), recorded at the Lucerne Festival 2010.
