SALZBURG - Simon Boccanegra Dress Rehearsal

NOTICE: the time of the dress rehearsal has been changed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is up to each of the members to decide whther they want to move the hothel reservation, or to reserve for two nights, or not to stay in Salzburg overnight.

Those who have reserved through the CAI are asked to talk DIRECTLY with the Hotel if they want to change thier reservetion. Here are the telephone and fax number of the Pension Zur Post where most members have reserved:

We will meet in fron of the main entrance of the Festspielehaus at 2.15 p.m. Tickets will be picked up short before this time, so they will be given randomly.

ONE OF OUR MEMBERS HAS A SUBSCRIPTION (tenth row orchestra) FOR THE FIRST TURN OF THE EASTERN FESTIVAL WHICH CAN BE BOUGHT FOR Itl. 2.400.000
We ask you to let us know if you ahve place in your car, or would like to go with somebody else's car paying half of the expences.

LUZERN - Tickets for Luzern have been confirmed, but we could not have more than previously announced. We have been assigned:
20 tickets for 8-31; 30 tickets for 9-1
Unfortunately they are more expensive than we expected: 140 FS, about Lit. 170.000 + 8.8% = 185.000
Payment is due by March 31. After that date unpaid tickets will be assigned to people in the waiting list, who will be contacted individually.

BERLIN - We are trying to have tickets for the concert with Martha Argerich that some members have requested. We would like to know if you accept the tickets for one only of the two possible dates (11 or 12) or if either date would be acceptable.
We have the following requests: Saccon 5; Ferreri 5; Bersier 1; Santoro 1; Corti/Loreti 2; Caneva 1; Giuliani 1 - Let us know if there are changes.

AIX - (Makropoulos with Simon Rattle e Hoffmann in Orange) We have decided to buy the minimum possible number of tickets that allows us to organize a bus trip, because this is the only possible solution for the members from Ferrara. All further requests must also include the bus trip (see the last Newsletter - dates are July 12-16 2000 - proces: Lit. 700.000 - 850.000 depending on whether you buy the tickets for one or two operas).

BOLZANO - We already start to accept reservations for the GMJO concerts in Bolzano.
The first concert will take place on August 2 and will be conducted by Pierre Boulez, with the following program:
Stravinskij Le chant du Rossignol,
Scriabin the poem of extasis,
Webern 6 Stucke op 6,
Berg 3 Stucke op 6,
Varèse Amériques.
Stefan Anton Reck will conduct a second concert on August il 7:
Mahler Sinphony n° 10 (adagio);
Wagner Wotan's farewell (Albert Dohmen bariton);
Bartòk Il mandarino meraviglioso, ???
Scriabin the poem of extasis.

Prices: £ 50.000 for each concert and 70.000 for both (as subscription to the GMJO concerts). Payment is due by June 30.

TOURNEE TO LATIN AMERICA - There is a possible offer of a trip with estimated budget (see enclosure) Whoever may be interested please let us know as soon as possible.

FIRENZE - Traviata with Metha (May 5 or 6). We are waiting for a reply to our reservation.

RECORDS AND PHOTOS - We remind you that if you ask for a CD recording you must pay for the empty CD (Lit. 5000). The price for photo is Lit. 2000 for each copy (we apologize for delays, that do not depend on us!)); dues can be paid during meetings.
